2. Tamworth Country Music Festival
For a taste of traditional Australian culture, head to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January. This ten-day festival is the largest country music festival in the southern hemisphere, with over 700 performers showcasing their talents across 80 different venues.

3. Byron Bay Bluesfest
If you're a fan of blues, jazz, and roots music, be sure to check out the Byron Bay Bluesfest. Held over the Easter long weekend, this five-day festival is the largest outdoor music festival in Australia, with over 200 performances from some of the world's top artists.

4. Taronga Western Plains Zoo
For animal lovers, the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo is a must-visit attraction. This 300-hectare open-range zoo is home to over 700 animals from all over the world, including rare and endangered species like the white rhino and Sumatran tiger.

Motorsports fans won't want to miss the Bathurst 1000, Australia's most famous motor race. Held in October each year, this 1,000 km race attracts over 200,000 spectators and features some of the world's top drivers battling it out on the famous Mount Panorama circuit.

8. Orange Wine Festival
Wine enthusiasts will love the Orange Wine Festival, held in October each year. This ten-day festival celebrates the rich wine-growing heritage of the region, with winery tours, tastings, and food events held throughout the area.
